June 2016

Design studio Hyperkit, established in 2001, is the collaboration between husband-and-wife Kate Sclater and Tim Balaam.

Gallery 1957

We have been working on the visual idenity, website and print material for this new commercial art gallery in Accra, Ghana.

The Great Store at Knole

While renovation work continues at Knole, some of the items have been placed on temporary display in the Great Hall. We were commissioned to design the scaffold covering and captions for the display. Our concept was derived from the decorative stud work found on the Armada chests in Knoleā€™s collection.

The Craft Film Festival

Following on from our graphics for the Crafts Council touring exhibition Reel to Real, we were asked to develop a campaign for the inaugural Craft Film Festival. We designed a tote bag, tickets and programme for the two-night event.

5th Studio website

Following on from the from the visual identity that we developed several years ago, we have designed and developed a new website for this architecture practice with offices in London and Cambridge.

Tom Kirk Lighting

The design of a new pocket-sized brochure with a foil-blocked illustration for Tom to use to present his current collection at a New York trade fair.

Richard Parr + Associates website

Working with the existing visual identity we designed and developed a new website that reflects the approach and ethos of this Cotswolds-based practice.

Radical Craft

We designed the visual identity for this Craftspace and Outside In touring exhibition which opened at Pallant House Gallery in Chichester in March. We teamed up with Juneau Projects who designed the exhibition space and furniture and as well as exhibition graphics we designed the marketing material and catalogue.

Hillgate PR website

Working with the existing identity, we designed and developed a new website for this interiors PR company.

Knole tickets

As part of our ongoing work with the National Trust we have designed a range of tickets for access to different areas at Knole. The reverse features an original illustration by Vita Sackville-West.

In March Kate and Tim spent four days in Helsinki visiting Alvar Aalto buildings. We particularly enjoyed a private tour of one of his masterworks, The National Pensions Institute. See our instagram feed for images from our trip.

Represent Blog post

Hyperkit Q&A on Represent's blog.

Authenticity has always been at the heart of our approach. Clients come from a wide range of sectors and are typically entrepreneurial in nature. We work collaboratively with them on designs that aid the communication of their ideas, allowing them to become a genuine part of everyday life.

We work with a hand-picked roster of photographers, illustrators, printers, technical developers, joiners and others to realise our designs.
